Inter & Active impact of Tillage and N fertiliser on Maize (Zea mays L.) Performance on a moist Alfisol Southwestern, Nigeria

A field trial was conducted in 2017 to analyze the interactive result of the land preparation ways and completely different rates of chemical element chemical on maize performance and yield southwestern Nigeria. The experiment was a three by three factorial; conducted in an exceedingly randomised Complete Block style (RCBD) in an exceedingly split plot management with tillage systems (T): Convectional tillage (CT), Reduced tillage (RT) and No-tillage (NT) because the main plot whereas nutrient amendments (N) rates (0, 50, and a hundred and twenty kilo N.Ha-1) as sub-plots issue and every one treatments were replicated thrice. Growth and yield parameters were subjected to analysis of variance (ANOVA). No tillage had the smallest amount plant height, stem diameter and fodder weight however had the very best grains yield. Grain yield weren't statistically {different|totally completely different|completely different} all told the tillage practices at different N rates applied however sixty kilo N ha-1 appears  best for maize production within the study space.
